This baby is a miracle…

I hadn’t been to the hospital in…way too long! The first time I saw Sylas in a crib, I instantly started crying. I knew I was witnessing a miracle. This little guy is fighter and I love him for it! He’s just over 3 months and he’s already defied incredible odds. He is beautiful and chunky! More than that, he is a symbol of hope and life. It’s hard not to love him instantly…it was even harder that the visit had to come to an end.

Introducing Sylas Christopher and his beautiful mom, Brianna!

PRAISE GOD!!!! I have been praying that the Lord spare *at least* one child for this precious family… knowing even that would be a monumental miracle for ANY of these infants given almost 0% chance of survival. I am so thankful to hear that Sylas is making it and thriving! He is just beautiful and looks really good. I start my NICU job in 9 days and cannot wait to get in there and work with families just like this one. Much love to them and you. Thanks for sharing the pics and the update!

  2. Kris Says:

Those pictures are beautiful. They remind me of when my son was in the NICU. It is amazing when you look at a baby in the NICU you can see past all the tubes and wires and the beeping machines and see a beautiful baby the God has created and given to us. May God bless him and watch over him forever.

I can only begin to imagine the pain of loss this family has endured. I am so thankful that Sylas will be able to bring them some of the true joy they so deserve. 46. Shawna Gilmour Says:

I am so glad I found this! I have been following the Morrison’s story for quite some time. (since before she had the babies) I have been checking everyday for an update on how Sylas was doing… I am so pleased to hear that he is doing so well! Way to go Sylas!!! I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, I am 36y yrs. old and have 3 children of my own and my heart went out to Brianna and Ryan when I would check in on their website and find out over time as they lost 5 precious lives. When I wasn’t seeing any updates on Sylas for quite some time, I felt that no news was good news, but I kept checking anyway. I was relieved to find updates on your site and I feel much better.
I was introduced to Ryan and Brianna by another online friend from New Hampshire. One of HIS online friends goes to Bethany Church. Isn’t is amazing how we are all one big family!
And I must compliment you on your beautiful photography work. Brianna and Ryan are very lucky to have you on board as a friend/photographer!
I closing I wish Sylas a happy and healthy childhood, with parents like he has, he will be a very lucky boy, and I wish all the joy of parenthood to Ryan and Brianna as they watch Sylas grow.
