So I gave it some thought and really like the name, and the meaning behind it, of:
Celeste Nicole

Celeste means heavenly
Nicole means victory of the people

translated, by me :), to ...every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Anyway, I also wanted to say congratulations!!!!!

I have to say that I found naming our two girls extremely difficult so I wish you and your husband all the best with it. I do think your blog readers have great advice (on lots of things). My book club read two of the book recommendations (Rebecca and My Sister's Keeper). They were both great!

Names are so much fun, but so challenging, too! Our daughter's name is Eliana, and it is still my favorite girl's name. It means "God has answered me"--Hebrew origin. I've also seen a reference to it having a Spanish origin, in which case it means "Light," or Greek, meaning "Daughter of the sun." All good meanings. I think it goes well with Adriah...in fact, Adriah was on my list for if our second child had been a girl!

Have fun with your decisions!

We have three sons:
Christopher Paul,
Jacob Daniel, and
Paul Michael
With ten grandsons in the family, it was hard to find a name that wasn't already used.

One name we had picked out if we had a girl was:
Catherine Elizabeth, (sounds kind of royal to me!)

Hello. I really like the name Amanda (which is also my name).
Amanda Alisha -- Amanda "She who must be loved" and Alisha "Protected by God"
"She who must be loved and protected by god."
Plus, I am in my mid 30's, and there is very few Amanda's my age. There are a few in the 20's, but then it dropped off the scene again. I was named after my great-grandma, so it is an old name -- which I think is important.
I also like Isabel -- but it means my god is my vow, which doesn't really go -- but maybe Isabel Amanda -- My god is my vow and she who must be loved?

Anyway, our boys are Nicholas and Timothy, which were not at all what we were planning on before they were actually born (we have a girls name: Eleanora after our grandmothers -- but it means Pity, so I didn't include it!).
Nicholas John --Victory of the people, god is gracious
Timothy Dean - To honor god, valley (OK, didn't really go,but Dean is my husband, so I wanted to use that.)

One thing I have noticed is that the more traditional names are not used as much and as such there are not that many of them. I only know of one other Nicholas under 30, and no Timmy's.

Enjoy!!
