I’ve been thinking about “favorite pictures” and all the reasons why an image becomes my favorite. This is the thought process of one who looks at pictures all the time! Anyways, I thought I’d post a couple of my favorites and then ask you to send in yours but, you have to say why it’s your favorite! I’ll post the pictures next week and then everyone can share in seeing your fav!

Here’s mine:

I met with a bride last night and at first I couldn’t put it in words why I love this picture so much then, it occurred to me…Cinderella! Every woman wants to be a princess pursued by her prince and this photo captures the princess. I should’ve had her take off a shoe and place it at the bottom of the stairs for effect!

I love laughing shots! Every time my family gets together we forced ourselves to laugh and then we start laughing at each other and then we can’t stop laughing…it makes for great pictures! AND MORE THEN THAT…it makes me smile every time I look at it!

Anyone who knows me knows…I love crying baby shots!

This couple contacting me to take pictures of them…just for fun! AND our shoot was exactly that! I’m always amazed at the incredible people I get to meet and get to know in my business! It’s so great!

As you know, I mostly shoot weddings during the summer season but sometimes I get a call for family photography…this was one of those calls! But instead of actual kids in this family they have a very sweet black dog that they saved from the humane society. It took “Cody” a while to warm up to me but, in the end we became good friends. In a lot of ways working with a high-strung dog is like trying to photograph toddlers! They never sit still…and I love a challenge!

I promised to have these pictures up within a week and I’m early! When does that happen?

It was my pleasure to shoot these pictures! I haven’t done a newborn shoot in ages and it was great to be around a little baby again! Brevin is perfect! SIX WEEKS old and ready for his first major debut! It was one of those Minnesota perfect summer days and we just had fun inside and outside! In a season booked with constant weddings…this was a nice switch!

Before I left for Canada last week, I did a family shoot at a park in Bloomington. I love young families, parks, care-free kids, laughing and of course…pictures to capture it all! Matt and I have been friends with the Krauses for as long as we’ve been married. They are incredible people and have beautiful kids. Laura has been wanting a photo shoot for ages and it finally came together! I love being able to use my creativity and bless those I love! I hope this makes you smile!
