Welcome!

Thank you for coming to my blog and website! It means a lot to me. The world of blogging has become a part of my every day life and I love it. You will see everything on my blog...some of my recent photo shoots, some of what's going on in my world and some of what's happening in other peoples lives. It is a true reflection of me well, minus the spelling mistakes.

I started blogging a couple of years ago thinking it would be a great way to give my clients instant gratification. (who doesn't want to see their pictures ASAP after a shoot?) I never expected it to get as personal as it has...life took a turn and right after I started blogging one of my friends got pregnant with Sextuplets and I walked through the pregancy, birth, loss and triumph with their family...my blog became a place to share and meet friends! I've never turned back.

Of course, when people are getting to know me my name is a big topic. It is actually pronounced "No-Amy" (and yes, I've heard every joke running through your head right now!) Here's the story: I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and my parents were trying to be nice to me by naming me a Spanish name but then changed their plans and moved back to Canada 16 months later. I've had to explain my name ever since. It's me and I wouldn't change it for anything but, I am sorry for the inconvience...it's worth it though!

I'm passionate about a lot of things but I have to say there's nothing like weddings. Have fun going through the galleries and slideshows on the blog. I hope it inspires you to call me, or pick up your camera and start shooting.

These are a few of my favorite things:

I love my husband Matt. My soulmate and perfect match. I was made for loving him.

Taking the perfect shot and showing it...seeing the person light up melts my heart every time.

I love my little girl Adriah. There's no one in the world like her. She inspires me to be kind.

I love to sing and sing loud! I'm a front row girl so i can belt it out and no one cares!

I love my little boy Leyton. I could into those eyes forever. Just thinking of him puts a smile on my face.

I love Musicals and I'm not ashamed to admit the I own quite a few!

I love the Starbucks drink "London Fog." If you haven't tried it yet...now is the time.

I love my family...there's nothing like family.

I love jeans the fit.

I love friends that are family!

I love spicy food and traveling anymore to try it!

Life is crazy BUT everything is a little crazier with a 4 year old and 2 year doing life with me. Today they... http://t.co/F0qTZrJc

Feeling Lazy…

I’m not one to give into complaining and usually have a pretty optimistic view on life but, these last couple of days have been a challenge. Let me explain/complain…I woke up 3 days ago with a horrible cough and head cold. No fever so, it’s not the dreaded H1N1 but, still a common cold can be very annoying. My ears are plugged, my skin hurts, my nose hasn’t stopped dripping and my head feels like it’s going to explode.

I am not sleeping very well cause of my cough and needing to go to the bathroom every hour or so it seems. Sorry if that’s too much info! Last night I was desperate and resorted to one of my Mom’s old home remedies…I put a teaspoon of Vicks Vapo-rub in a bowl with hot water, put my head as close to the water as possible, cover my head and the bowl with a towel and breathed in the methol fumes. (I know Vicki is laughing her head off right now!) I was desperate! The Haley’s teased me relentlessly because I looked ridiculous but, I needed to breathe…no one gave me sympathy!

To top things off I stubbed my baby-toe so hard I can’t wear any of my shoes because of the swelling. Who does that? Seriously, it’s totally purple.

Feeling lazy today cause of all of the above and it’s rainy outside. Lazy days are rare for me so I’m choosing not to feel guilty about it. Just hanging out with my kids and blogging…hope your day is going better then mine. I need to end this post and blow my nose.

November 18, 2009 - 8:52 pm Melissa Gruber - hope you feel better, that is just no fun!

November 19, 2009 - 9:50 am KS Dallas - When complaints are justified - it is just fine. It sounds like you are have the right to complain a little. It is hard enough being pregnant, working, taking care of your other children, etc. but then to be sick on top of that really stinks. For me, things have been tight lately, but manageable. That is when something always happens to pull me a little further down. It is like lets see how far we can stretch her before she breaks. Well, today provided just a little more stretch. I was driving with the flow of traffic without paying attention and sure enough, I get pulled over for speeding. Me. Not the dozen other cars around me that were also speeding. Nope. Me. I feel like the elastic woman! lol. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. Hope you feel better soon!!

November 20, 2009 - 8:26 am Cecilia - I do hope you get better soon. Colds are such a drag.
