]]> By: Jeff http://noemiphotography.com/blog/living-a-life-with-purpose/comment-page-1/#comment-3545 Jeff Thu, 05 Nov 2009 21:19:04 +0000 http://noemiphotography.com/blog/?p=3712#comment-3545 So true, noemi, on so many levels.. sometimes i find myself telling my wife and son, that i will be able to spend time with them during the winter when i'm slow, and then i ask myself, did i really just say that? wow, how do i justify that? i'm still in my first couple years of business, and it's so overwhelming sometimes i think i need to put my business first for a couple of years to get a grasp on it, and then once i'm in my groove, i can make time for family. i've recently completely changed the way i do run my business.. before, i would edit, do meetings, business stuff from 9 until 5 when my wife and son get home, then i would spend a couple hours with them, then back to work again. i started to realize that i was putting my business at the top of my love list.. forgetting God, my wife, my son, and my friends. i needed a change, and have begun the process to make it happen. I'm so glad you wrote about this, i think it's a huge issue with the modern family, and for most of us, we need to do some work on it... because your family is just like your business, if you don't work at it, eventually it will cease to exist.
