Noemi Hedrick

Welcome!

Thank you for coming to my blog and website! It means a lot to me. The world of blogging has become a part of my every day life and I love it. You will see everything on my blog...some of my recent photo shoots, some of what's going on in my world and some of what's happening in other peoples lives. It is a true reflection of me well, minus the spelling mistakes.

I started blogging a couple of years ago thinking it would be a great way to give my clients instant gratification. (who doesn't want to see their pictures ASAP after a shoot?) I never expected it to get as personal as it has...life took a turn and right after I started blogging one of my friends got pregnant with Sextuplets and I walked through the pregancy, birth, loss and triumph with their family...my blog became a place to share and meet friends! I've never turned back.

Of course, when people are getting to know me my name is a big topic. It is actually pronounced "No-Amy" (and yes, I've heard every joke running through your head right now!) Here's the story: I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and my parents were trying to be nice to me by naming me a Spanish name but then changed their plans and moved back to Canada 16 months later. I've had to explain my name ever since. It's me and I wouldn't change it for anything but, I am sorry for the inconvience...it's worth it though!

I'm passionate about a lot of things but I have to say there's nothing like weddings. Have fun going through the galleries and slideshows on the blog. I hope it inspires you to call me, or pick up your camera and start shooting.

These are a few of my favorite things:

I love my husband Matt. My soulmate and perfect match. I was made for loving him.

Taking the perfect shot and showing it...seeing the person light up melts my heart every time.

I love my little girl Adriah. There's no one in the world like her. She inspires me to be kind.

I love to sing and sing loud! I'm a front row girl so i can belt it out and no one cares!

I love my little boy Leyton. I could into those eyes forever. Just thinking of him puts a smile on my face.

I love Musicals and I'm not ashamed to admit the I own quite a few!

I love the Starbucks drink "London Fog." If you haven't tried it yet...now is the time.

I love my family...there's nothing like family.

I love jeans the fit.

I love friends that are family!

I love spicy food and traveling anymore to try it!

Life is crazy BUT everything is a little crazier with a 4 year old and 2 year doing life with me. Today they... http://t.co/F0qTZrJc

My Sister Comes to Visit!

I’m the only one in my family who lives in this amazing country. I have a sister, brother, mom, step-dad, and dad in Canada and my older (and wiser) sister, Elizabeth, lives in England with her husband Mark.

Last year Matt and I traveled to England with Adriah…that’s a long way with a one year old that doesn’t sleep outside of a crib. I think Elizabeth’s coming as payback. No, she’s coming because she loves me and I’ve promised to be the perfect tour guide! I can’t wait…

They arrive tomorrow and we’re going to have a blast! I’ve put together a schedule of different things we can do for the next 10 days! I’m pretending that I’m on vacation and going to see the beauty of this city. We’re going to hit all the usual places: Mall of America, Sculpure Garden, Museums, take in a movie and maybe even go to America largest corn maze! We’ll see if my daughter will hold out!

I’m open to: great suggestions, hidden spots in the twin cities or surrounding area, anything we should see or do? After you’re finished picking your favorite images in the photo contest, of course.

November 1, 2007 - 11:33 pm Meagan - My favorite places to go in the cities when I get down there: Como Zoo and Conservatory Stillwater The Stone Arch Bridge Walking Along Nicollet Mall Fort Snelling Lake Harriet Going to Candyland - the greatest candystore ever! (near 8th & lasalle)

November 2, 2007 - 1:53 pm Sarah - What about a concert at Orchestra Hall??!!

November 2, 2007 - 2:36 pm Julie B. - Have a great time. In case you're not aware of this, the Hennepin County Libraries have passes available (for either 2 or 4 adults) for a number of museums and historic places in the area. They are only valid for a week so you may want to try to get to the lib. today or tomorrow so you can snag a pass right away and then another one next week too! Good luck!

November 2, 2007 - 6:55 pm Hannah - Minneapolis Farmers Market (Lyndale & 94 area) Uptown (& surrounding lakes--beautiful to drive around) Isles Buns & Coffee (28th & Hennepin in Uptown)--the best cinnamon rolls and puppy dog tails ever!

November 2, 2007 - 6:55 pm Hannah - Also, Blues night at Famous Dave's in Uptown!

November 3, 2007 - 1:01 am Teresa - Try Lark Toys at Kellogg--They have pink waterfalls at the mini-golf. There are all kinds of toy stores there, including costumes, science, books, old-fashioned, and more. There is a hand-carved wooden carousel that you can ride on. I know it's not in the city, but it's worth the drive. We do it whenever we go through Minnesota. The Spam Museum at Austin is full of fun, puns, and hands-on learning. We had a great time there, and it's free!

November 3, 2007 - 10:06 am dave - Not necessarily cheap, but taking in a show at the new Guthrie Theater would be fantastic. Obviously there are all of the other theaters too. One of the Twin Cities hallmarks is its theater community. Also not cheap but so much fun is the Minnesota Wild games. Makes for an opportunity to go out in St. Paul. Finally I hear there is this incredible local band "The Sweet Colleens" who play at Kieran's Irish pub tonight! : )

November 3, 2007 - 10:55 am Kristen - We love Lion's Tap! We think they have the best burgers!
