My thoughts…

I spend a lot of time at the computer. More than most “stay-at-home” moms, I’d say. My simple pleasure is watching movies in the background as I type, edit, print, burn discs, etc… As far back as I can remember, my family has delighted in movies. We weren’t so much a T.V. family but ohh did we love our movies and still do!

This week I watched/listened to the whole trilogy of “The Lord of the Rings.” It amazes me, despite watching it several times, how I still love the grandeur. What I love most is the incredible order and detail given to the battle scenes; the lines, wide-angles, powerful sound track, perfect synchronization…it’s the same stuff I love about “Star Wars.” I love epic movies! The bigger the better.

Another confession, I’m a superhero lover! I’ve seen them all and love’em! Matt’s not a big fan but he’s a great husband and pretends to like them when watching them with me! Somehow they empower me to think I can do anything! I know, it’s ridiculous and it’s ok…you can laugh out loud!

Anyways, after an incredibly emotional season of life…it’s nice to be able to get lost in pictures and movies! What’s your favorite movie? Got one that’s so great you could watch it over and over and never tire of it? I want to know…I’ll add it to my things to watch this summer!

Go see The Bourne Ultimatum! Watch #1 and 2 if you’ve forgotten what’s going on because they’re both great, too! SO GOOD 🙂

You are amazing! How in the world do you find the time?

I love “Glory Road”…. It makes me realize that with God’s strength we are capable of overcoming all the obstacles that hinder us in our God-given ambitions. I always feel so inspired after watching that one! 🙂

Other favorites include, “Return to Me”, “A Walk to Remember”, the IceAge series (I laugh just thinking about it 😆 ) “Over the Hedge”, “The Boys Next Door” (a tear-jerker comedy), and of course the Incredibles….

I happened to find your website from following the Morrisons. I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your Blog. Most of the time, it just lifts my spirits up and I loved the video of your daughter. That was great. I hope to see pictures of Sylas Christopher in the near future (hint). We always have the Morrison family in our prayers.

One movie I really love, is Return to Me. It is not an action movie, but for some reason, I just love it.

Take care, Kris

I also enjoy the amazing “epic-ness” (yes, I made that word up!) of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. And watching all that stuff on how they created this and that and the hours and hours spent on like, one second of view-time astounds me and kind of makes me think — why do I bother with all those other movies out there that seem to have no special thought in them at all? One I’ve found though that is so simple and touching, and I love, is “October Sky”.

Hi Noemi! We missed you today at Bethany…a few us went to your house for pizza (so nice of Matt to invite us!) and Adriah is just a sweetie! It was fun to finally spend some time with her and she was able to show me her ‘big girl bed’ and walked around with the Barney DVD for a while…she is just a sweetheart! I was laughing so hard when I read your blog when we got home because you must have inspired Matt to ask us today “What’s your favorite movie?” and I said Lord of the Rings! ANYTIME you want to watch these, give me a call. I’m also a huge fan! Too funny…I hope your trip has been going well. FYI…Matt dressed Adriah really well today and her hair looked great 🙂 Seriously, he did a good job 🙂

Not an all-time great movie by any stretch, but I love “While You Were Sleeping.” Cute, cute, cute. 🙂

Uptown Girls.

This movie always, always touches me. I love Dakota Fanning, and she is wonderful and funny in this movie, and her character reminds me so much of myself (except I didn’t grow up with wealthy parents!). If you haven’t seen it, you must!

Pride and Prejudice (the version with Kiera Knightley)! I love it and watch it lots and lots. I confess I enjoy getting lost in it. Thanks so much for your beautiful words about the memorial service. The songs are a wonderful reminder of His love. The family continues to be in my prayers. I also pray for you. May you enjoy your escape in the movies.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! Eighties fashion, dancing, and mindless entertainment… it never gets old.

I happened upon your site by following the Morrison family’s news as well. Your blog is uplifting and makes people feel like they know you, even if we’ve never met you.
“Chocolat” is one of my all-time favorites! I remember leaving the theater smiling…a real feel-good movie.
