Name game…

In a couple of weeks I hope to find out if our baby is a boy or girl…I can’t wait! There are so many cool names out there but, Matt and I are really picky. Here’s our rules:

1. We both have to like the name.

2. We both have to like the meaning.

3. We both have to the flow of the first to second name.

4. The meanings have to compliment each other!

5. AND It has to sound good with our last name “Hedrick.”

This is no easy task! So, I thought to myself why not get some help? Any cool names with even cooler meanings? How cool would it be if I use the name you suggest!

Our first daughter names took us months…

Adriah Liberty Hedrick (meaning: Adriah “Love of Life”, Liberty “Freedom”)

Her name literally means “Love of life and freedom.” I still love it!

I am 13 weeks along and for a girl we’ve come up with Carlee (or Carly or Carlie haha) Louise and for a boy his name will be Liam Matthew.

You’re right! It’s really hard to come up with a good girls name that sounds good together! (We came up with Liam Matthew within 10 minutes)

Hey! How far along are you? Sounds like you’re probably due about the same time as I am! Sorry I can’t give you any name suggestions because we’re working on our own! Congrats Noemi!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, Noemi!! I am so happy for you and didn’t realize you were expecting!!! How wonderful!

I am way too selfish to pass along any good names. We have such a hard time agreeing on names that if we come up with a good one, I’m keeping it to myself in case I ever need it!!

I’m so excited you are doing this “name game”. I have two children and none on the way; but I’m addicted to looking at and coming up with “imaginary” future children (no, we don’t plan to have more). I have enjoyed coming up with baby names since I was a little girl and enjoy it ever more now since there’s this thing called the internet! I have already worked for hours today coming up with some great name suggestions for you. I’ve got to perfect them a little before I submit them, but I had one question for you: What is your maiden name? I LOVE when people are able to use a maiden or family name for their child. Unfortunately I couldn’t (Armes). By the way, my kids are Kyrah (long i sound) Camille (Camille is my middle name too) and Ethan Mark (Mark is his Daddy’s name).
Congrats on the pregnancy!!!!

Hi Noemi! Congratulations to you and Matt! How excited you must be! Names eh? Benjamin (meaning son of my right hand) Jaden (meaning thankful for a boy and Cadence (means rhythm) Grace (meaning grace) for a girl!

How much fun is this? Can you have more kids…I could go on and on!!

Please say hello to Matt for me and this comes with lots of love to you my friend!!!

I love the following name for a girl:

Noelani (“beautiful girl from heaven” – Hawaiian) with the middle name Abegayle (“gives joy” – Hebrew). Of course, just simply Joy would be a great middle name, too! I’m not sure how you’d pronounce the first name but I think there are a couple different ways you could…

I also love Talya (“dew of heaven” – Hebrew), Neveah or Selah for a girl.

I like Urian for a boy – it’s Greek, meaning “From heaven”.

I absolutely love reading your blogs! I always love seeing your new pics, too! You did the pictures for my brother’s wedding – Jeremy & Jessica Johnson.
