Noemi Hedrick

Welcome!

Thank you for coming to my blog and website! It means a lot to me. The world of blogging has become a part of my every day life and I love it. You will see everything on my blog...some of my recent photo shoots, some of what's going on in my world and some of what's happening in other peoples lives. It is a true reflection of me well, minus the spelling mistakes.

I started blogging a couple of years ago thinking it would be a great way to give my clients instant gratification. (who doesn't want to see their pictures ASAP after a shoot?) I never expected it to get as personal as it has...life took a turn and right after I started blogging one of my friends got pregnant with Sextuplets and I walked through the pregancy, birth, loss and triumph with their family...my blog became a place to share and meet friends! I've never turned back.

Of course, when people are getting to know me my name is a big topic. It is actually pronounced "No-Amy" (and yes, I've heard every joke running through your head right now!) Here's the story: I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and my parents were trying to be nice to me by naming me a Spanish name but then changed their plans and moved back to Canada 16 months later. I've had to explain my name ever since. It's me and I wouldn't change it for anything but, I am sorry for the inconvience...it's worth it though!

I'm passionate about a lot of things but I have to say there's nothing like weddings. Have fun going through the galleries and slideshows on the blog. I hope it inspires you to call me, or pick up your camera and start shooting.

These are a few of my favorite things:

I love my husband Matt. My soulmate and perfect match. I was made for loving him.

Taking the perfect shot and showing it...seeing the person light up melts my heart every time.

I love my little girl Adriah. There's no one in the world like her. She inspires me to be kind.

I love to sing and sing loud! I'm a front row girl so i can belt it out and no one cares!

I love my little boy Leyton. I could into those eyes forever. Just thinking of him puts a smile on my face.

I love Musicals and I'm not ashamed to admit the I own quite a few!

I love the Starbucks drink "London Fog." If you haven't tried it yet...now is the time.

I love my family...there's nothing like family.

I love jeans the fit.

I love friends that are family!

I love spicy food and traveling anymore to try it!

Hi Noemi, I have a dream. I would LOVE to create beauty with my camera. I want to capture and create memories for others, as insignificant or significant as they can be. Memories that they will treasure for a lifetime that they can pass down through generations. I can say with honesty that my photos are the one thing I'd grab and hold tightly (aside from my children of course) if my house were in flames. But one obstacle stands in the way of my dream: confidence. I've been shooting on my DSLR for a year and a half now and learning each day, but somethings missing. I have a vision, but just need some creative guidance. I admire your work and your style and I'd love to learn from you. Thanks for your consideration, Natalie Kirby

Dear Noemi, I'm emailing about the submissions for the focused workshop giveaway! I have always loved taking pictures, but usually was too "on the go" to take pictures more than with just a point and shoot camera. I had a pretty hard pregnancy and delivery, but am so in love with my baby girl, who is not so tiny anymore. I knew I wanted to capture every moment. I was a teacher, but am not going back- I'm going to be a stay at home mom. Making the decision not to go back to work was not a hard one for my husband and I; we just knew we'd have to be a little more responsible with our spending. A new DSLR camera was not in our budget, so I sold horse show clothing, blankets, and other tack to be able to pay for a new camera and lenses. I absolutley love taking pictures, and have taken pictures for friends and family. I would LOVE to get better, and I think your workshop could really help me! Thanks so much for this opportunity. Laura Kleffman attached is a picture of my baby, Kira.

Hi Noemi!I'm submitting this e-mail for the free workshop contest. It has been little seeds along the way, winning a photo contest at eleven, a mentors compliment and encouragement at 17. Lately God has really been challenging me in the area of insecurities, one of which is insecurity about talent. I love to take pictures, I love capturing the more candid moments that not everyone else picks up on. Or to be able to show someone a picture when trying to describe a moment that is indescribable with words. I would say my biggest hold back has been insecurity, but my second biggest has been money. I got my DSLR this past march, and being a mom to one ( and one on the way) and my husband and I both full time students, every penny counts. But i don't think you can put a price tag on pursuing your dreams and the things that make you tick. ( or click.. haha get it?) I think this workshop would help me immensely to understand the in's and out's of my camera. Thanks for your time! This is a picture of my Father in law and his Granddaughters.

Photographers Retreat…nothing like being with friends and being inspired!

So we went away for 36 hours and I probably said, “Thank you for inviting me!” 20 times. I was so happy to be in the woods, in a log cabin, no kids, just friends, and tons of photography talk!

Thursday night we went into town and where we got inspired we stop and took photos…soooo fun! So I’m gonna walk you through our creative moments. Here’s the group of us. Starting from the left Alison, Emily, Erin, Olivia, Tasha, Kendra, and me! Incredible women with amazing talent.

The incredibles.

We found this orange bowling building had a blast!

Alison grabbed my camera and took a few of me...in the bus.

What you can't see is that the bus doesn't have a drivers SEAT so they made me stand for ages while they got their shots...Quad Workout!

I love rust! Always have and always will. Texture is awesome.

We each had our turn in the bus. This world doesn't have enough orange...wouldn't you agree?

We moved on to a scraps yard of somekind...equally as fun!
