This morning my son was sleeping and so I had time alone with Adriah. My mom gave her this adorable little book set for Christmas…it came with three bears (which Adriah gives new names every day!) and a book of their adventures together. She loves playing with them…and I love watching her.
It inspired me to take some pictures. Sometimes there’s nothing more beautiful then your own child being a child. She loves to play and sing to her toys! (In case you’re wondering why her fingers are so red – we did finger painting earlier and didn’t get it all off!)

Thank you to everyone who participated and voted in the recent Winter Photo Contest! I’m happy to announce that Cate Mezyk is our winner! She had well over half the votes! I know Cate is just beginning her journey in photography but, is passionate about everything she puts her mind to. She just got a NEW DSLR for Christmas and will be using it often (with 3 beautiful kids how can you not?) I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we see her work!
I’m hoping she’ll be able to join the next MOM FOCUSED PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP…she would get a ton out of it and I would love to have her at one of my workshops!

We went to the Walker Art Museum today…and it was a gorgeous winter location for engagement pictures! You do have to quickly get over the fact that tons of people are milling around the photoshoot! This couple did amazing. We had a great time together…even if it was freezing outside! I’ll definitely be going there again. Anyone else getting married and in need of engagement photos?
