We bought a House!!!

Ok. So, if you’re wondering why there’s been a famine of blogging lately it’s cause we just purchased a house in Prior Lake. What I didn’t realize is, when you buy a foreclosure home it’s tons more work! We’re getting every inspection done we can to avoid future issues…and because we’re keeping our townhome (and the tight the new mortgage stuff) the financial documents required are crazy! I know it’s for my own protection but it’s a ton of work. We only have until next Thursday to back out but, it doesn’t look like we will.

Needless to say…I’m still really excited!

By the way, if you or someone you know is looking for the sweetest 3 bedroom, 2 bath townhome in a great location (just off 169 in Eden Prairie) let me know! I have loved this house and we giving it a new coat of paint and carpet clean before we leave…it’s going to be beautiful.

Good luck! My husband and I just bought our first home in June which was also a forclosure home in Duluth, MN. Great deal but yes, a lot of paperwork/inspections. Just a long process all together.

Hi Noemi-
I have been a faithful reader of your blog since you photographed the Morrison 6.
I have never commented before but now I am super excited for you that you are moving to Prior Lake!
I moved here a year ago and just love it! And I lived in EP my whole life so I thought that was kind of cool too.
Prior Lake is close enough that you can drive “into” the city when needed but yet far enough away that you kinda feel like you are in the country. I especially love the Lake…
I hope it all works out and you love where you live!
You are a wonderful photographer and inspire me w/ my photography skills.

Congrats on the new house!

I just bought a foreclosed home in July so I really know your pain. Luckily, mine was in VERY good shape. Nothing major – just lots of little projects. It keeps the weekends busy. You are right about buying a foreclosed property – it is a whole different ball game. A LOT more stuff to look at, worry about and possible have to fix. I hope yours ends up being everything you want – without too much hassle!
