Tay's Family Photos

This was a beautiful family! I had a great time shooting them together and individually...these will make you smile! The GIRLS! Tickling...was so much fun!

I love the one of mom alone.

And the one at the end reminds me of every family shoot...there is a point where I know I've taken one picture too many...everyone is done but, me! I love everything that's going on in that picture!

Eliza Holland (3 months)

This post is for Vicki...one of my faithful blog readers...she endures the boring photography stuff in hopes of fun blogs like this one! I was at Eliza's birth a few months back and she's growing like a weed! She was totally not into tummy time and smacked her head a couple of times on the wood floor while I took this picture. Eliza, honey, beautiful pictures are worth a few bumps and bruises! family_portraits-0004

Taking Family Photos

There are so many dynamics in every family and then you add a total stranger (me - the photographer) into the mix and things can get a little crazy. But, I love crazy! I often have mom's tell me that they "Stressed for nothing!" and "The shoot was so much easier then they expected!"  I love hearing that. I know having a photographer come to your home is a little more expensive but the stress is WAY less so it probably evens out in the end. I did a shoot at the end of last year that really touched my heart. I just found out that the dad blogged about the shoot. His words are so touching. It reminded me that I truely have the greatest job in the entire world. Check it out!

Baby Pictures

My friend love to call her little girl "Spicy" and I think it's a perfect way to describe her! She's ten months and almost walking AND she's got lungs and knows how to use 'em! She's adorable and it was fun to capture her with Leyton!

5 weeks apart and there's a bit of a height difference...sorry buddy!

I love the light in this picture...it totally captures life up North too!

Black and White Images of Leyton O'Neal

I went up north a few weeks ago and brought a plaid shirt for my baby to wear!!! He is adorable and chucky and jolly and a delight to be around! So this is the fruit of a lazy morning at the cabin.

NOW...let's go full color!

How you ever seen such a cute little boy? He has my heart.

The Rovenstine Family

I love doing family shoots...this one was special! These kids are gorgeous and the family had an incredible bond that made taking pictures a breeze! I had a hard time narrowing down the pictures so I hope you're in a comfy chair!

Daddy and "the girls!"

Mom and "the kids"...who are all laughing at daddy!

I came from a family of three girls and then a boy and I loved matching Christmas presents...

Models from FOCUSED PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP...

I can't thank you enough for your flexibility and willingness to do anything for a great shot! Even with tons of cameras pointed in your direction! I know you're all waiting to see more of the pictures that were taken from that day. Here's a few for the Bensons:

The Reilly's Family Portraits!

Every one and a while I get to shoot my friends...my husband would laugh that I just wrote "shoot my friends"...anyways you know what I mean! It's a great privilege of mine to be able to give friends moments from whatever stage they are in AND it's really fun! The Reilly's are a wonderful family and fellow "Settler of Catan" game players. (If you've never heard of that game you are totally missing out...here's the wikipedia take on it! It's one of my favorites and it never gets old! Great Christmas gift idea!)

Okay, back to showing you pictures from the shoot:

The Peterson Family

It's funny that I never set out to be the photographer known for taking multiples but, I am and I love it! Taking newborn and baby pictures is so precious to me. I know these mom's put a ton of thought into their baby pictures. I want to bless them with capturing this amazing time! I found this new feature to post a gallery and thought I'd try it out! You can click on each image to see it enlarged! LOVE THAT!

The Mulligan Family

Wow...this is an adorable family! We had a blast taking these pictures in the middle of a field or in their backyard...it didn't matter! Some people may think taking pictures of a 4 year old and 2 year old twins is crazy...I don't! I love the challenge of making the shoot so fun they don't even notice they're getting their picture taken.

Here's some of my fav's:

The Wegleitner Family Portraits

I'm always up for a challenge! And shooting 6 week old triplets, a three year, parents and a dog is a challenge! I had tons of fun with this family and it really helped that I know the 3-year-old-language! Let me introduce you to this wonderful family...

"I'm 3 YEARS OLD and I have 3 LITTLE BABIES in my family!"

Daddy has his hands FULL!

Precious moment with her little boy!

Thank you Wegleitner's for inviting me into your home! It was my pleasure to capture your family at this precious stage. I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

One-on-One time...

So for those of you who are bitter that I'm on vacation...you might want to skip this blog. It's a funny thing being a mom. I spend all my time with my kids but, yesterday I got to spend one-on-one time with Adriah and I got to see a whole new side of her.

We already knew that she's talks non-stop! (My sister says I need to watch the movie "Definitely, Maybe" because the little girl never stops talking either and I would laugh at the similarities!) Getting to share new things with Adriah means I get to learn about her as she reacts to each new thing. Let me give you an example: Matt stayed back with Leyton last night so Adriah and I went exploring...we went on new walking paths, played at the park, played hopscotch on the stones and ended up at a campfire. (SIDENOTE:I grew up going to camp then became a counselor as soon as I was old enough and still remember tons of songs we sang around the fire. No surprises there!) So, last night, I got to teach Adriah a classic echo song and then we made a smore to share (of course, she wanted 5 more but I cut off because the night before she was up til 10pm.)

Then to top off the day...we bought sponge curlers in Lutsen, I put them in Adriah's hair before she went to bed and she slept in them. This morning she woke up to curly hair...just like her friend Delaney! I used to  put curlers in my own hair every Saturday night so, my hair would be curly for church the next day! This may sound dumb to you but, it was really fun to do girly things with my daughter. On vacation I don't have the same responsibilities...and I'm more intentional about pouring into my daughter...I love her!

Beyer Family Portraits

I love the variety of my job. One day I'm shooting a wedding in ornate reception halls and the next I'm walking with Senior down at old farm lane. It's great. I've known this family since I moved to Minnesota 8 years ago. It's incredible how kids grow up...man, that makes me sound really old! Here's a few from our senior/family shoot:

I love the "What your favorite picture" game!

Here's a couple I got sent to me yesterday! Hi Noemi,

I love seeing others favorites.

Attached is my favorite. I took it last summer at the lake and I love it because it is so carefree and innocent. Can you tell how cold my niece in the is (redhead in the middle)? She was shivering and had massive goosebumps, but refused to get out of the water.

Thanks for letting me share. See you at Joe & Katie's wedding next weekend.

Noemi Hey! I love reading your blog and looking at all your beautiful pictures. Thought I would send my my favorite picture! This is one that Darrel took of Jadelyn shortly after Liliana was born. She was running away from me and trying to get the camera from Darrel! I love it cause it shows the pure joy of a child! And I love pictures of my girls! :)

Love ya Sarah Ussery

The Albojer Family Photos

Ever since last summer when my brother (who's also a photographer) captured my family I've been wanting to return the favor. Last week, when we were visiting, I got my chance! It was such a blast and a blessing to capture this family! My nephews are polar opposite. One is compliant and up for anything and the other can't sit still so it made the shoot "interesting" but, we laughed the whole time! I sweat when I take pictures of kids 12months-18months cause I'm entertaining the whole time...I'll do anything for a great shot! Here's a couple:

The triplets are back!

I had the privilege of capturing this family in January with the Triplets were 6 months old! My portrait package is ideal for this family cause I shoot on location and we have plenty of time to let the kids play! It was amazing to see how they grown in the last 6 months! They are gorgeous and even though I always get a little nervous shooting triplets, I had a blast! These kids are so happy...and so are their parents! It's amazing what a great routine can do! 0019.jpg

I'm ready to take on anything after ONE YEAR OLD triplets!www.noemiphotography.com

The Hanson Family

Brage, the mom in these pictures, is a new friend of mine. She's one of those people you meet once and can't wait to see her again! Anne of Green Gables would have described her as a kindred spirit. I've known her a short time but we're already closer then people I've known for years. This is her precious family...

I love my job!

Ed, Cate and Avery!

There are a lot of joys in my line of work! One of my favorites is getting to capture my friends. Avery is 3 (just like my little girl) and she's a dream to photograph! Matt, Leyton and Adriah came for the shoot too...here's a couple of our girls together! 0028.jpg

This next one shows how tall Adriah is! Avery is 6 weeks older and I'm sure she'll remind her of that as they get older!

They are a beautiful family (inside and out!) and I'm thankful to have them as our friends!

Leyton is growing and changing before my eyes!

Isn't he beautiful? 20080605-family-00011-4.jpg

My son is almost 2 months old! Although I am a little anxious for him to sleep through the night I don't want him to grow up too fast! I don't know if he's my last baby or not and I want to treasure the newborn days for I know they are short!

20080605-family-00011-26.jpg

A photographer friend came over this week and we made Leyton our subject...he's wasn't happy about being stripped down to his diaper but, we still got some cute shots.

I love that about photography...it slows down time and helps me to hold onto these precious days.
