I think weddings are amazing...even during the week I shot 3rd weddings in 4 days. Weddings make me smile. i hope you smile when you see these.
Wedding photography is my first love...and then I have a lot of close seconds with all the other portraits and events I do! Weddings are special and this was so amazing! There is no better compliment you can give a wedding photographer then recommending her for another wedding. At Chris and Christy's wedding I got to chat and dance with 2 other brides! Love, love, love!
Every once and a while an opportunity to capture a wedding comes up that I get really excited about the photography. This wedding was one of those! I heard vineyard, desert, staying with friends and wedding...and I was sold! Alexis and Keith's wedding ceremony was amazing. It was the minister sharing their story and how God brought them together. By the end I felt like I knew them as a couple and I encouraged in my own faith. INCREDIBLE!
I've been working on these pictures all week and I can't wait to release them to the parents who are so eagerly waiting! (PS. They will be uploaded to PICTAGE tonight!) But, before I release let me share some of my sweets moments.

You never know how and why someone picks up the phone to call you about capturing their stage of life. A friend of mine Nikki Charlton is an incredible wedding photographer in Toronto, Canada...we were friends long before either of us were photographers! She was in my wedding! A couple of weeks ago I received a call from Janice because Nikki is taking her wedding pictures. I couldn't pass on the opportunity of sharing clients with one of my favorite people right? I'm so glad didn't pass up this opportunity. This couple was amazing.
Most of my wedding clients are from direct referrals. This bride heard from a friend and we met and decided right then. I love it when that happens.
I love getting to capture a wedding for a friend...even better when my husband is the officiant for the wedding. Hearing him talk about love and marriage is incredible! Seeing it through the eyes of newlyweds is amazing! Can you figure out where we shot these photos? Hint: Somewhere in Minneapolis!

I don't travel to Eau Claire, Wisconsin very often and usually I'm just passing through...this time I got to stay and see it's beauty through my lens. This outdoor wedding was so peaceful.

I love capturing boys. I know I've got 10 seconds to pose and shoot before they start bumping and the bumping turns into wrestling and the wrestling turns into clothes getting dirty! I love it! This family makes me smile.
Yes...I have captured this family before AND I will capture them again. They are very close to my heart...and they photograph well!
I am so thankful for the family I married into...I love them dearly! Getting to capture them has been my joy through out the years. even though picture taking is not there fav. I think they've come around. Enjoy!
I love shooting Senior Portraits! And this shoot was amazing! The light, the girl and the Mom! We had so much posing, laughing, dancing, walking, and laughing some more. See for yourself!

I'm usually pretty good about posting Wedding pictures on the blog within the first week...but, sometimes life happens and my good intentions get "trumped." I'll share my story on tomorrows post! Today's post is all about Gabrielle and Don! They are sweet couple and had an incredibly elegant "barn themed" country wedding! It was my privilege to capture it for them.

I'm proud to call the little town of Prior Lake my home AND I take every opportunity I can to shoot my photography here! It's beautiful. Just so happens Sam lives in the area and was happy to do her Senior portraits close to home! We had tons of fun (and outfits!) for this shoot...have I mentioned how much I love what I do!? Well, I love being a photographer...just for the record.
Being it's August it seems crazy to be thinking about Christmas - especially after the hot summer we've had. But when the fall hits and school starts everyone starts thinking about Christmas cards and updating their family photos! Since their aren't enough Saturday's to capture everyone interested in family photography...Mini Sessions were born! 14 families captured in one day - it's crazy and tons of fun! AND of course, I can't wait to see what gorgeous outfits you come up with!

Where will the Mini Sessions be captured this fall?
- I'm returning to one of my favorite places to photograph in the fall...Minnesota Harvest in Jordan, MN! (http://www.minnesotaharvest.net) Your Mini Session could include anything from: pumpkins, rows of apple trees, stacks of hay, animal rides, wagon rides and more.
What times are available?
- Sessions will begin at 9 AM and will be booked on a first-come, first-serve basis (space is limited)
How do Mini Sessions work?
- Sessions will start on the hour and the half hour and are 20 minutes max in length.
- Available to groups up to 4 people max (kids, families, couples, headshots) If your family has more then 4 people…you may require two Mini Session spots to make sure we have time. Contact me for more details.
- Assorted posed and candid shots (Feel free to bring a few props of your own)
Mini Sessions are $250.00 plus tax

- 20 digital files and print release

PRACTICAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - AUGUST 18th, 2012 Who should attend? *Specifically for photographers new to their camera and photography but, interested in knowing how their camera works and learning how to improve their images. Also available to aspiring and/or established photographers who want to freshen up their portfolios and learn new technical and creative photography techniques.

WHAT TO BRING? Bring your digital SLR camera and a smile:) Preferred lens is a 70-200mm to keep everyone at the same shooting distance so we don't get in each other's way. You can bring other lenses as long as you are considerate and avoid standing in front of other attendees during the shoot. All gear should be stored on your person to keep you mobile. Bring paper and pen for on-the-go note-taking.

There is so much I love about Wedding Photography!
