It's no secret, I'm a huge fan of Family Portraits at the Apple Orchard (Jordan, MN)...Minnesota Harvest is one of my favorite places to visit. And I love introducing it to my clients! We have had some gorgeous weather and the colors are just starting to change...it's a gorgeous time of year and the perfect time to start thinking about family portraits and christmas cards. :)

I love that Senior portraits gives every girl a chance to dress up "fancy," but also gives them a change to be themselves...hockey? yes, please. Centennial Lakes in Edina, MN was the perfect backdrop. The sun setting at the end of our session couldn't have been timed better.
I haven't been to Centennial Lakes Photography, Edina, MN for a long time and I'm not sure why I don't go there more often. It's so beautiful and has so many options for beautiful backgrounds. We had so much fun capturing these family portraits with 2 generations. Enjoy!

There are some families I could walk in there home and sit down to chat with instead of taking their pictures...they are so lovely to be around. The Mullinix family is that family for me. It poured rain, it was so dark, I used a flash and we kept shooting! The sun even came out for the last few minutes :)
Country wedding photography is all over Pinterest and for good reason...it's gorgeous. I can't wait to "pin" a few of these shots! The details are what make this wedding magical. I was so privileged to share in this beautiful day with so many amazing people. I love the country weddings done right!

I love story telling with a time-period in mind.

Greenwich, England with friends means spending the afternoon walking about in gardens that used to be used for the royals hunting grounds, eating ice cream, seeing the Prime Meridian Line, taking in the breathing view, having lots of laughs and of course, taking pictures. :) Then we went home for dinner and more laughs around the tables. Pretty much awesome-ness.

- Sessions will begin at 9 AM and will be booked on a first-come, first-serve basis (space is limited)
How do Mini Sessions work?
- Sessions will start on the hour and the half hour and are 20 minutes max in length.
- Available to groups up to 4 people max (kids, families, couples, headshots) If your family has more then 4 people…you may require two Mini Session spots to make sure we have time. Contact me for more details.
- Assorted posed and candid shots (Feel free to bring a few props of your own)

the Benson's Family Portraits is one of my favorite's to capture. They are up for anything! And hearing the phrase, "smile for candy!" still makes me laugh! LOL Sometimes the best way to get great family portraits is to bribe your kids...it's not my recommended form of parenting but, it works for a photo shoot once a year. See for yourself.
A day in London...10 000 steps - easy! We walked, and talked, and shopped, and talked, and ate, and laughed, and cried, and talked some more. London was perfect and being there with my sister was a dream! She's lived in England for 17 years and I've visited 9 times (I think.) It never gets old. Where did we go?

One day in Toronto? Go to the Distillery District! Why? It's incredible. It's where old and new meets and compliment each other perfectly. See for yourself!

I am not a Newborn Photographer. It takes tons of patience and I'm not the most patience woman in the world. But, when a dear friend had her baby a couple of weeks ago...how could I refuse? I'm so glad I didn't. Editing Newborn photos is so peaceful. Therapeutic. Yoga like. I seriously think I'm breathing deeper. :) I'm so weird.
I probably won't make the switch from weddings to newborn photography, but I'll definitely smile at the next chance I get to capture a sweet baby.
Getting to travel to London...has it's benefits. It meant I got to see an old friend and his lovely family! The background of Greenwich, England for family portraits is not too bad. :)
It's no wonder that Greenwich, England is the second most popular city for tourists to visit...it's gorgeous.
I have been working on some of the photos from my trip last week and of course wanted to share them with you. Have you been to England? Where did you visit? I have travelled all the way to Scottland and then down to the southern tip of England. Not all in one trip. :) I've been there 9-10 times! And I never tire of visiting. It feels home-y and like I've stepped back in time all at the same time.
Outfits, jumping in and out of cars, accessories, laughs, cameras, chasing light and more laughs...that's what Senior Portraits should be about.
I love Prior Lake, MN. It's my home. Any chance I get I love doing senior and family photography here! We picked the perfect summer night for our family photography session and I can honestly say I laughed the whole way through. I'm surprised my photos were in focus I was laughing so hard. :)

I joined Adrienne and Rafe after an engagement party in Lake Elmo and I literally tried to outrun the storm that was on my heals. I did it!
