i don't often shoot guys for senior portraits and it's a bummer cause I had a ton of fun capturing Andrew. It's so different but, i loved the challenge of getting the shot that even he would like, and call "dope", at the end of the day. My favorite shot is the silhouette of him. It's very "self portrait" looking. I tried to do some fun effects that would make him proud. I hope he likes them.
And I love the one of him sitting opposite the empty chair. Listening to his IPOD. Something so normal he would be doing anywhere or anytime. That's what I love to do - capture a moment of his life now...freeze it so that later he will look back and smile.
I've more senior portraits this year than ever...and I love it! Bring on the fashion! But alas, the season for Seniors is coming to an end. Deadlines are creepy up so I'll have to wait until next year before I get to do more! But, I hope I do. This is too much fun.
Oh my goodness...I never knew Senior Portraits were this fun! I love shooting them. These girls are gorgeous and they love the camera...what more could I ask for! Ayasha and her Mom asked why I don't shoot Senior Photography full-time and I was quick to answer that weddings are my first love and when they start looking for a wedding photographer they be happy about :)
i love these pictures of Ayasha. I don't know her but, I feel like I captured so many different sides to her personality. The flowers were so fun and the outfits were adorable!
My fav. is the close ups and the last one that looks like something out of a magazine!
I've known Kelli for a long time and she has grown into a beautiful young woman. She's off to college in a couple of weeks and I'm soooo excited for her next stage of life! Before she leaves we had to take some photos! Did I mention that I love doing Senior Portraits? so fun.
I had so much fun during this photo-shoot! i love shooting Senior Portraits because the girls I capture are up for anything and happy to be in front of the camera. It was 100 degrees outside and thick with humidity and Maddie didn't seem to care...a dream client! Not to mention the fact that she is stunningly gorgeous. I loved her playful side but, man this girl can do serious like it's nobody's business.
I love my job - Senior Portraits is a fun break from Weddings! But, I have 7 more weddings coming this fall and I can't wait for each one!
I don't do enough senior portraits...I love them! I feel like I'm shooting for a record album so, if Rebecca goes into a music career...she's good. We had fun taking these so have fun checkin' them out!
Everyone has more then one side to their personality. Leah has two very distinct sides: the beautiful girl AND the stunning athlete. I am going to show you both sides - equally captivating.
It's this kind of shoot that make me love what I do...and makes me want to do more.
This is one of the amazing young people from our church! (She babysits my kids so I've gotten to know her a bit better.) This photo shoot reminded me of two things: I love shooting senior portraits because they are ready to try anything and you can get great shots ANYWHERE! This first one is in front of an old shed at one of my friends houses...the side door isn't even attached but, it makes for a great contrasting picture!
Isn't she beautiful? I told her we could put together a country music album with these pictures!
And had to include this next one because it totally makes me laugh...she looks like she's in a wind tunnel!
There were so many other pictures I could've put on this post because once she warmed up to me we got tons of great "poser" shots! I hope she likes them!

I love the variety of my job. One day I'm shooting a wedding in ornate reception halls and the next I'm walking with Senior down at old farm lane. It's great. I've known this family since I moved to Minnesota 8 years ago. It's incredible how kids grow up...man, that makes me sound really old! Here's a few from our senior/family shoot:
This was us having a little fun...Don't get Cameron mad what ever you do!
They are a wonderful family and it was my pleasure to capture them at this stage of life!

Every year I find myself saying the same thing. I just can't believe that it keeps snowing into the middle of April...NOTE: we're way past the first day of Spring! I know it happens every year and I should be used to it by now but, alas, I am not! Once I've tasted the feeling of sun on my face, warm breeze on my skin, wearing open toed shoes, painting my nails, leaving my jacket at home...there's no turning back! ARE YOU WITH ME? Not that it matters but, it nice to know I'm not alone. Don't get me wrong the snow is beautiful and I love all the seasons but, I'm ready to move on! OH WELL...the bottom line is that SPRING IS CLOSER THENIT WAS YESTERDAY! And no one appreciates the nice weather more then people who have been anticipating it all winter!
We are Minnesotans and proud of it!

A couple of months ago I did a Senior Shoot for a swimmer named Lauren...this is her neighbor Lauren! She loves horses instead of swimming and I love getting shots out in the country! It's amazing how short the drive is from total suburbia to farm country! I went way out past Elk River but, these pictures make it all worth while!

I had never met Lindsie before shooting her senior photos and I could sum her up with saying, "She is sweetness!" I learned that she's signed up for the army...I was amazed! It was my pleasure to meet her and capture her at this stage of life.
