2011 Weddings - Looking for a photographer?

It's freezing out today - I'm going to help you think of warm happy thoughts!  I'm at the end of my wedding season and it's bitter-sweet time for me because I'm ready to be done but, I know as soon as the dust settles I'm going to miss being at weddings! It happens every year. So, what do I want for next year? I would love to shoot more weddings closer to home (convenience) and to shoot at a couple of venues I've never shot at before (variety) and shoot at my favorite's again (they never get old). One thing you may not know about me is I LOVE COUPONS! I love getting the best but, getting it for a great deal - who doesn't? So, to brighten this dreary day I'm blogging a coupon to give incentive for booking NoemiPhotography before the end of the year. I've never done this before and it's kinda fun!

FORWARD THIS POST TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS GETTING MARRIED and they will love you for it! Every bride wants to save money :)

COUPON RULES:

1. Print this BLOG POST/Coupon and bring it to your consultation or send it in with your deposit and receive ONE FREE ADDITIONAL HOUR of shooting. ($400 value)

2. Book by December 31st, 2010.

3. Your wedding day must be in 2011.

Angie & Neal's Wedding - Minneapolis Wedding Photography

I love October weddings. It's always my busiest season for photography and that's because it's gorgeous in Minnesota and everyone wants to capture it! We had a stunning day...and an incredible couple. Angie was a bride after my own heart! We both love organizing and scheduling and getting everything sorted before hand but, once the day started it was smooth and totally enjoyable. I feel honored to be chosen to capture every wedding but, this one was special. This couple has been through a lot in the last year and everything they have been through has caused them to grow more in love. Being there to capture every moment of this incredible day was precious to me. Again. Thank you for choosing me.

On a slightly silly note...at the end of this blog I'm adding some shots taken from the photo-booth at the reception - I love those photos! There's no better way to capture the guests at a wedding!

Deidre & Nick - Duluth Wedding Photography (Glensheen Mansion)

This was my first wedding at the Glensheen Mansion and I loved it! It is so elegant and makes for a gorgeous backdrop for wedding pictures. I was surprised at the gem locations we found thanks to our Hummer Limo Driver! If you are engaged and still looking for a location to get married - I would recommend it! AND planning to do an outdoor wedding the second week of October...is gorgeous! (I truly admire brides who plan outdoor weddings...it's a thing of beauty - when it works!) Especially when the weather is perfect like it was last weekend. Thank you to Deidre and Nick for choosing me to be your wedding photographer...it truly was my pleasure. Now comes the hard part picking the images that will make it into your album. I can't wait to start designing.

Heather and Tyler's Wedding Photography, North Branch, MN

I love referrals!!! Heather was a bridesmaid at a wedding a shot last year...watching me do my thing made up her mind. During the day she told me that she would be calling when she got engaged and she did just that. Not only did she call she actually changed her wedding date so that she could have me as her photographer! I was so honored...and I knew it was going to be a special day. It was. I took pictures I have never taken before and probably won't take again. It was all about horses, old cars, fall colors, 4 wheelers, family and friends (lots of them) and then there were so many beautiful quiet moments with just Heather and Tyler. She had the wedding on her family's property in North Branch and they completely transformed the barn to be an elegant reception hall. This was a once-in-a-lifetime day. Heather and Tyler waited 11 years to get married and I got be there for every moment. Wow...thanks again for choosing me.

Look for the shot with the rings. They found to gourds that had grown into one...isn't that incredibly symbolic of a wedding - two lives separate at first but, then, grow into one? I use the gourd to capture their rings another symbol of unending love. Can you tell I love my job?

Now for the pictures. i went with the motto "Go big or go home!" when picking my fav's from this wedding. There were too many to choose from so I gave you a little of everything.

Enjoy.

Sarah & Phillip's Wedding Photography - St. Paul, MN

this week has been crazy busy. I've been wanting to blog this wedding so badly and I'm finally getting to it. I love the details of this day...not only was Sarah a stunning bride but, the personal touches she put on everything. She was my first bride to have three pairs of wedding shoes on hand. (and, yes, she wore them all!) I loved the venues. The wedding was at the University Club and the reception was at the Minnesota History Center...the best was the model of the plane flown by Charles Lindbergh suspended over the head table. LOVED IT!

thanks to Sarah and Phillip for letting me be a part of your day...p.s.thanks for being willing to "get down" for the last shot. I love your moves. :)

Heidi and Mike - Wedding Photography

I don't usually travel for weddings...have 3 kids under the age of 5 means I want to be home but, this wedding was special to my heart. I chose to shoot it and I'm so glad. Heidi and Mike were adorable! Made for each other. I loved the old car we used for the pictures. Old cars are beautiful and so are the people in the wedding party!

Minneapolis PUG (Networking with Photographers through PICTAGE)

Every month I get together with other Photographers for all over the Twin Cities and we hang, talk, learn and this time we got to shoot! Our faithful PUG leaders Stacey and Jason Thon (STAJA Studios) organized a photo-shoot with models, hair, make-up and designer dresses.

Michelle and Dan's Wedding Photography, St. Paul, MN

There's so much to say about weddings. I love them! i love the details, the fancy cars (or not so fancy buses), pretty dresses, flowers, laughter, tears, and the thought put into every decision that makes up the day. Seriously...joining a couple on the biggest day of their lives is my pleasure and honor. Michelle and Dan are a wonderful couple! Just as cute as can be! My favorite picture is the last one...It totally screams "Cinderella and her Prince Charming!"

To the couple: Enjoy your sneak peek at your wedding pictures. Have a lovely honeymoon and we'll get together to talk wedding album when you return...I can't wait!

comments from my last wedding...

I don't normally post emails or comments sent directly to me but I was so touched by this last one...I had to share! Noemi, the pictures are more than perfect!! Thank you so much...can I say I can’t stop looking at them without sounding crazy!!

I forwarded your website to a friends and she wrote back, “The photos are spectacular ~ artful ~ creative...they should be in Bride Magazine! I didn't even see the bridesmaid's shoes at the wedding, which I LOVE! The cake photo...FUN!

O.K. I can’t stop singing your praises!! My sister wrote, “OMG....these are GREAT Pictures. She really captured each of them in their own personalities! I can't wait to see more of them.”

Back in March, I remember Sarah and myself trying to tell you how we wanted all the feelings and special moments, known and unknown to us that would happen on her wedding day, captured and frozen in time for all to be able to look at and remember those wonderful feelings and special moments. You did it and more!!

As the mother of the bride, there is so much that goes into before and during the wedding day. I remember the next day telling my husband how it’s all a blur and started to cry. Maybe the tears were the day after let down tears, but there were also tears of sadness due to knowing I missed “special moments” that were lost forever due my mother-of-the-bride duties. But, when I saw the pictures you posted, I realized you captured what was felt that day and my feelings of lose vanished...now I can’t wait to see more!!

Thank you for being a special person and photographer!

Jackie

I'm honored to be chosen to shot weddings. I know there's a million photographers (or at least it seems like it!) and to be picked out of all that talent is amazing. I love shooting weddings and I hope to always be serving the Twin Cities in this small way!

Keep those weddings coming!

Sarah and Taylor's Wedding Pictures - Northfield, MN

I loved shooting at Carleton College...there's a richness to the old buildings and it feels like history is all around you. Sarah and Taylor were so easy to capture because their love for each other was obvious. I loved every moment.

As always I am totally honored to be chosen as the photographer...they made it special. Here's a few from their day!

Charity and Mike's Wedding Pictures, St. Paul, Minnesota

My last wedding of the year...and what a wedding to end on. It's always bitter sweet when the season is over. I know I'll miss capturing these incredible moment through the winter and be ready to start again in the spring! I loved the St. Paul Hotel as a location to get ready! (I've done weddings and receptions there as well and it's amazing! I totally recommend it if you're still deciding on your venue!) The hotel and courtyard outside make an incredible backdrop for bride and groom pictures! This couple decided to use the Manor for the Ceremony and it worked perfectly! Plus, having the reception at the Summit Manor was gorgeous!

I loved her shoes!

Liz and Ross (October 10th, 2009) Minneapolis, MN

Normally October wedding are the first to book...I'm already meeting with October brides for 2011! Mostly brides pick the fall because of the leaves and the cooler weather. Two or three years ago I shoot an October wedding in 90 degrees! This year it was in the 30's...and there was a bitter cold wind! We're hard-core in this business and we'll do pretty much anything to get the shoot. We spent most of the day outside. AND IT WAS WORTH IT! Wedding Photography

Jen and Noah, Grand Rapids, Minnesota

One of the perks of my job is getting to capture friends precious moments...last Saturday was one of those days! The union of these two families was really an incredible thing to witness! Another perk is when I'm shooting the wedding and my husband is officiating! We went up north for the wedding and instead decided to spent the weekend enjoying the changing of the leaves - so beautiful!

I love October weddings!

I love being a Minnesota Wedding Photographer!

Okay, I know we don't have an ocean near by and our weather is unpredictable but, there's so much that I've come to appreciate about Minnesota! Last weekend I photographed a wedding in Grand Rapids, MN (about 3 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities) and it was absolutely gorgeous. Ruttger's was the perfect location to host! The leaves have begun to turn color and the drive home was stunning! Every road, sky, and tree was a picture waiting to be captured! Truly breathtaking - even more so when you add a bride, groom and wedding party! October weddings are really popular...they are usually my first Saturday's to book and I totally understand why! There's nothing like the drama of color behind every photo!

Last year I photographed an October wedding where the wedding favors were Caramel Apples. I think the Caramel was Abdallah chocolates I think? It was totally my favorite wedding favor EVER!

I know a lot of photographers that are always wanting to get away and capture destination weddings but, I love Minnesota! This is my home and I want to be the best at capturing its beauty! Each season has it's own delights and I'm loving the challenges of each...

So keep those October wedding inquiries coming!

Rachel and Jake's Slideshow (Prior Lake and Jordan, Minnesota)

Hello fellow blog readers...it's been a while but, I have a special treat for you! I shot this wedding in July and the Album Design is finally finished... http://albumesque.com/albums/noemi_hedrick/rachel_jake

I can't say enough about the beauty of getting an wedding album that captures so many moments from your day and puts them together where you'll enjoy them often and for years to come! I'm loving the albums I provide and have added credits to my packages (without raising my prices!) as incentive for every bride to take advantage of these gorgeous works of art! OKAY, okay...I'm done with my speech but, seriously, if your wedding is coming up and your wondering if an album is important...IT IS! My advice it to save now and get an album!

The end.

Meeting with Brides...

This is a crazy time of year for me. I'm still shooting weddings and portraits, editing every day, and meeting with brides at night! Some of the brides I'm meeting with I've already taken their wedding and we're getting together to talk through Wedding Albums and Canvases...sooo fun! Putting together albums is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do! There something so amazing about seeing the whole story in one place! It really becomes a work of art! And then, I'm getting to meet with brides in the planning process and looking for a photographer that suits their style (and budget.) Following up with everyone keeps me really busy. I work hard getting everyone's pictures done as fast as I possibly can but everyone would still like it to be faster. I totally understand! When I have my family portraits done I can't wait to get them in my hands and start ordering!

It's a busy season but, I love it! It really is incredible that I get paid to do what I love.

Fall weddings are just around the corner and I can't wait!

enjoy summer weather while it lasts...
