I have had the best weddings this past winter! This St. Paul winter wedding was cold, but not "too" cold to take pictures outside! The sun was brilliantly warm and I had an awesome "brave" wedding party. Let me show you their incredible day!

Winter Wedding Wonderland is not so snow-y this year...and I'm okay with that. I always tell my winter wedding couples to expect to shoot outside because I love that hazy overcast look with leafless trees and rosy cheeks! Truth is, I love shooting weddings anytime of the year :)

Minneapolis Wedding Photography at the Basilica of Mary is pretty awesome. Add an amazing couple, sweet family and rockin' wedding party and you have a party! Ending the day at the Arboretum for the reception so pretty much perfect! We had so much fun capturing this wedding and I think pictures say it best.

Every year I have 2 days that I set aside to do Mini Sessions and these time slots usually sell out quickly. I wanted to make sure my clients got the "heads up" in advance and so you could plan for it. AND I usually host 3-4 Focused Photography Workshops too! I've started to get inquiries for dates for both Mini Sessions and Workshops, so I'm posting it here for you to SAVE THAT DATE!

This wedding was such a fun day. From beginning to end I laughed...that's saying a lot because it was over 90 degrees all day! It was lovely! It reminded me why I love being wedding photographer. My favorite moment? When I talked the wedding party into getting ice cream...it melted in less then 3 minutes and it was sticky and messy AND THEY DIDN'T CARE! loved that.

FOCUSED Photography Workshop, May 31st, 2012
The snow has melted. The sun will shine, the grass will turn green, the flowers will return and Minnesotans WILL venture outside again. It's time to plan a my second FOCUSED Photography workshop of the year! YIPPEE! YEAH! Alright...
Who should attend?
Aspiring and/or established photographers who want to freshen up their portfolios and learn new technical and creative photography techniques. *Specifically for photographers interested in understanding the business of weddings and desiring to expand their wedding portfolio. Learn how photojournalism works...how to tell the couples story through pictures!
Cost Includes:
- Over 4.5 hours of hands-on training with Noemi Hedrick
- Live styled models to add to your portfolio
- Signed model releases on file to ensure you have the rights to use the images you shoot
- Technical & Creative on the spot training
- Learn how to get consistently accurate exposures in changing lighting situations

WHAT TO BRING?
Bring your digital SLR camera and a smile:)
Preferred lens is a 70-200mm to keep everyone at the same shooting distance so we don't get in each other's way. You can bring other lenses as long as you are considerate and avoid standing in front of other attendees during the shoot. All gear should be stored on your person to keep you mobile. Bring paper and pen for on-the-go note-taking.
