The last two days have been crazy with snow...seriously. It snowed with vengeance and came down so fast, with high winds the snow plows couldn't plow. When does that happen? We're pretty hard core in Minnesota and I'd say we pride ourselves on not slowing with "a little snow fall." But in this case, TONS and TONS of snow dumped on us...and life was forced to stop. 21.5 inches is something to write home about. (In this case I called my Mom because she loves to hear anything about the weather.)
It was the biggest storm in our generation...it made the TOP TEN EVER! It was nice to be able to stay home. I got to be with my family.
Today church was cancelled. I'm always kinda sad when that happens but, it meant that we could have home church! Something we never get to do. We started with a little worship/aerobics (http://www.hillsongkids.com/) then we all took turns picking stories from the bible and acting them out. Leyton loves David and Daniel because the stories involve lions and killing Matt who's always the bad guy. Ever get that warm feeling inside where you look around your home, your family, your life...and smile because it is good? That was this morning. I am so blessed.
The roads are better. The sun is out and life will be back to normal soon.
